| Dee's Dobermans |
When we suddenly lost our 8 year old Doberman Pasha to cancer,we began a long frustrating search to find another one. Most of the litters my husband looked at were nothing, appearance wise, what we were looking for. We wanted a Doberman that whose appearance was that of a stong, yet elegant animal, that would make a person think twice before approaching our home or business with the wrong intent, YET this dog would also need to have a loving, submissive and tender disposition with our family, pets, and customers. When we arrived at Dee's kennels to meet her and her dogs, all the dogs were standing at the fence watching us. Based upon the dogs we were seeing,we knew immediately that our search had ended if the dispositions were what we hoped. They were all wonderful. Each wanted our undivided attention, leaning on us or wanting their heads scratched or rubbed, just a bunch of "babies"! We agrees to wait for a pup from the next litter. By May we had our pup, which we named Mia. She is the perfect dog for us. She has grown into a beautiful and loving addition to our family. She is the Alpha dog, simply beacause of her size, since our other dog is a Westie named Riley, yet she is the one that cuddles and carries stuffed animals around! She and Riley are the meeter- greeters at our business, and though occasionally a customer will hesitate when they see her, they soon realize that she simply wants to be petted or better yet sit in their car! She loves to go for rides. She loves kids and is so happy when our 3 year old grandson spends the day, he is the perfect height to share his snacks with her! She isn't a picky eater, in fact she will eat just about anything if allowed, but we feed both dogs dry dog kibble. She is a joy to have as a member of our family. We will be breeding her when she has her next heat. The stud we have chosen has the same disposition, in fact he's probably more of a push over in addition to being very handsome. We are anticipating some very pretty puppies!! Trish and Jim 1-20-2008 |
| Dee- 2-09-08 I took some pictures of Omega today and thought you might like to see them. He has really grown as you can see, it seems like yesterday I was bringing him home for the first time. He has really made a difference in my life. I also want to thank you again for allowing me to purchase him. It's a scary thing selling animals cause you don't truely know if they go to a good home. Well let me tell you Omega is completely spoiled and has everything he would ever possibly need. I wish sometimes I had his life. Anyway, hope everything is going well on the home front and I look at your webpage on a regular basis. Debating on if it's time for another puppy. Let's talk soon. Barbara and Omega |
| My name is Becky, and I am writing this for those of you considering buying a Doberman pup from Dee. I got my first pup from Dee in 2001.He is a black/rust male named Cinder. finding Dee's ad was like a miracle for me and my husband, because all the breeders we could find wanted outrageous prices for their pups. {Not to mention being very snooty!} I have to say when I bought Cinder Dee was in the process of moving and did not have the parents on site, I bought one and took him home. I have to say Cinder is on beautiful dog. {that is not just me, all I have to do is take him somewhere and I hear it numerous times!} He is also very laid back, and well mannered with a great attitude towards people and other dogs. I got my second pup from Dee in 2004, a red/rust female I names Halee. She is beautiful as well. Although the the vet that did her ears did not do a good job.{one will not stand.} She is like Cinder in temperament, with one exception, she is the sweetest dog I ever owned. I call her my Sweet Pea. I let them have a litter of pups then I had Halee fixed. I want you to know I probably drove Dee nuts calling her for advice during the pregnancy. When Halee went into labor I called Dee, and she came {2 hour drive} and helped me. She also bought one of the females {Scarlettt} to breed back into her lines, as Cinder's parents are deceased. All of the pups were sold by the age of 4 weeks. As soon as people saw the parents they put down a deposit. I sold one pup to some people from Corpus Christy and 1 person drove all the way from Georgia to get him. 10 monthes after my pups were born I got an email for the woman I sold the red and rust runt to. She could no longer keep him due to an accident she was in. I took him back, his ears were done, and was completely trained and neutered. I called Dee and told her I need to sell him. She said she would be on the lookout. Dee had a buyer, unfortunatly he turned out to be almost just like Halee and my husband would not let me sell him. I really didn't protest hard. he is very sweet and well mannered. {Although I do call them Ms. Nosey and Nosey JR. So I became a 3 Doberman household. I did get one surprise form the pup I got back. Cinder and Halee both weigh 90 lbs. and are both 26 inches at the shoulders. The pup Tank is 124lbs. and 30 inches at the shoulder, and not yet 2 years old. All the other pups in this litter I have kept track of and they are more the size of the parents. I have a Shih Tzu that was 6 monthes old when I got Cinder. His name is Julienne and he bosses the Dobermans around. My dogs are very sweet, gentle and protective ,but not overly protective. My dogs do not get on the furniture, steal stuff off the counters or beg {except to go for a ride in the car.} I know Dee is keeping this page anonymous to protect former buyers, but anyone who wants a reference feel to call Dee and get my number. I will be happy to recommend her pups to anyone that treats them well. My dogs have their own dog door so they come in and out when they please. They really have a need to protect and they can't do that locked outside. Also a dog bed is very important, as well as lots of love and attention. My dogs are listed on Dee's website under past pups, and Tanks sister is Double D's Scarlett Ember of Autumn. Becky, Ft.Worth Texas |
